Happy New Year everyone! I realize that the site has been badly neglected and I've been working feverishly over the Christmas break to set up the new site. Unlike previous updates, this one will be able to evolve with customizations on top of a solid framework that should always be easy to use and maintain.

Due to the neglect of the website, a very important thing that has happened in the past year has not been posted here and this makes me sad and is the main reason that I felt a rework was a priority. The delay is not an oversight, nor a reflection of any difference in feelings or excitement we have, it is solely a reflection of a poorly thought out process requiring time and effort to fix versus the rise of... well... let's just say Robin likes Facebook and finds it easier to post things there than keep on me to post it here, hence the reason I wanted to try to make it easier to post here.

As for the announcement, of course I'm sure you all know that it is the addition of the newest member of our family Dylan Marie. Robin and I are thrilled to have Dylan Marie in our family, and Lauren is loving being a big sister. The past 8 months have gone by quickly, she has grown and developed in leaps and bounds and just in the past week she has gone from sitting and rolling to crawling and even pulling herself up to [anything] with initial steps to walk around furniture.

Answers to a few things that people ask us at this stage: Two teeth have come in... Yes, she's teething... Yes, she's crawling... Yes, her big sister is good with her and loves her...

That's the main stuff, but now that you can post comments to stories you can ask anything I missed and I can update/respond.

Robin hasn't seen this yet, I'll walk her through how to post a story and hopefully between the two of us we'll be able to update the content more often. We have hundreds of pictures to post, once I have worked out which photo gallary module is going to work best for us.
